How to earn a free tusker travels chaperone spot
- You will earn a free chaperone spot once 8 students you refer enroll in a tour.
- Can't get 8 students to enroll? No worries! Every one student counts towards 1/8th of the price and you can pay the difference to travel (minimum 4 paying students).
- Somers students do not count towards a free trip.
- Student application is all online, students must put your name in the referral section of the application.

- 4 paying students (you pay 4/8 of trip cost)- Cost to attend $1,806

- 7 paying students (you pay 1/8 of trip cost)- Cost to attend $452
- 8 paying students (you pay 0/8 of trip cost)- FREE!!!!
WHATS INCLUDED IN THE FREE CHAPERONE SPOT?
- LIABILITY INSURANCE- Tusker Travels is a Non-profit Corporation with its own liability insurance, as a chaperone on any of our trips you will be covered under our insurance policy.
- AN ALL-INCLUSIVE TOUR Round trip airfare, hotels with private baths, regional-style meals, on-tour transportation and sightseeing activities are covered.
- FULL-TIME TOUR DIRECTOR Your culturally connected Tour Director is with your group 24/7, providing deep local insight while handling all on-tour logistics.
- EXPERT LOCAL GUIDES Your expert local guides are natural historians, adding cultural insight and global perspective on your sightseeing tours.
- CONTINUOUS SUPPORT Your dedicated team helps you every step of the way—from recruiting and enrolling travelers to planning and managing your tour.
- 24-HOUR EMERGENCY SERVICE Travelers and their families can count on a dedicated emergency service team.
PROMOTING THE TRIPS IN YOUR DISTRICT

- Tusker Travels will supply you with digital or hard copies of flyers to hang up in your building to gain student interest.
- Tusker Travels will supply you with a Powerpoint for any student/parent informational meetings you may choose to run.
- We hold parent meetings throughout the year that you are welcome to promote rather than running your own. Email us for the next scheduled meeting date.
- The traveler application is completely online and requires no paperwork. Tusker Travels manages the application process leaving no work to be done on your end!
- Students may contact Tusker Travels for any questions or concerns.
OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS
- Chaperones will room together in a double occupancy room. You may pay for a single room upgrade at your own expense.
- An additional cost of $250 for supplemental fees must be paid to Tusker Travels within 2 months prior to the trip departure. This includes a trip T-shirt, coach bus to and from the airport from a designated departure location, and your tips on tour (price is subject to change).
- All teachers/chaperones are to read and sign a chaperone agreement ensuring they understand their role and expectations on tour prior to departure. See the chaperone agreement below:
- Teachers are expected to understand the risk of lost wages if any tour is scheduled during a school break where expected days off are revoked due to snow or other emergencies.
- Tusker Travels will find a replacement for your chaperone spot should you not be able to attend.
- Any refunds will be issued according to the cancellation policy as per the tour company's booking conditions.
