To apply for a Tusker Travels Trip the traveler must be:
1. Enrolled in school as a sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the trip unless otherwise stated in the trip description.

• ​Freshman going into sophomore year are eligible to attend summer trips.
• Somers freshman are eligible for all trips.

2. In appropriate social, emotional, and physical health.
3. Able to self-medicate any required medications.


Steps to Apply:​
1.   Complete the Tour Company Enrollment Form

• Go to the Tour Company Enrollment Form and complete the information.
• ​Late completion of the Tour Company Enrollment Form may result in an increase in tour price, change in the cancellation program, loss of spot on the tour, etc.​

2.  Complete the Tusker Travels Application

• To access the online Application go to the Tusker Travels home page, click on the APPLY NOW tab, and click on the Application page or use the following link: https://www.tuskertravels.org/application.html
• Click on the red button that says "CLICK HERE TO BEGIN YOUR APPLICATION".  This will direct you to the Tusker Travels Application.

3.  Confidential Character References Link 

• Send the following link to 3 teachers (1 may be an employer) to complete electronically:  www.tuskertravels.org/confidential-character-reference.html
• It is the travelers responsibility to ensure that the references are completed by the deadline.  You can complete this step before or after you submit the Tusker Travels Application. 
• 3 character references are required for an application to be considered complete and approved for review.
• Upon submission of the Tour Company Enrollment Form, Tusker Travels Application, and submission of 3 character references from the travelers teachers, the application is complete and will be reviewed. 

Approval Process: 

1. The committee will review all applications and determine a "Yes" or "No" decision. The committee consists of Christine Lepkowski, William Maelia, Christine Brooks, Anna Timone, and Angela Holder. The decision of the committee is final; the committee is not required to give parents, guardians, or travelers a reason for denial.  Information contained in the confidential character references will not be shared with the traveler or his/her parent or guardian.
2. Upon denial, you will receive an email from Tusker Travels.
3.
